So I was in game for the first time in months and a buddy from school was on and gave me links to a couple of mods for the game. These don't make cheating possible or anything like that, but can make the game play a little different.

Change the Icons over the tanks

Scope mod

Big Joe: Hey look, you just keep them Tigers busy and we'll take care of the rest.
Oddball: The only way I got to keep them Tigers busy is to let them shoot holes in me...
Crapgame: Hey, Oddball, this is your hour of glory. And you're chickening out!
Oddball: To a New Yorker like you, a hero is some type of weird sandwich, not some nut who takes on three Tigers.

So basically it's more like a HUD, but also shows the enemy's weakest armor points for each target.

For the Arty...kinda. The over lay is generally a range adustment to lead and hit a moving target. BUT it doesn rotate with the site so its kinda pointless.

For the other tanks it just a more historical mod for the sight. Changes the sight settings to give you more options for how you want themt to look based on real German, Russian and American sites. It also adds an occular occlusion to the 'scope' site that add a bit of realisum You also have a reload timer as well as a little Animation of a round being loaded into the breach. Aside from the general sites, You have more options for the fixed sites and moblie site, differnt rectials all of which are more bold and easier to see.

The normal 3rd person vew also changes and is more 'neat'. less screan clutter. Heres some screens of it with my JP. you can also see the name Mod as well. Which is really nice. I am not sure which one added the HP stuff, but I also have the HP of th tanks,a nd Damage being dealt to them show now. Which rocks since you can see how effective your shots are and the damage other are doing as well.

I don't know...seems like a lot on the screen. As far as leading my target in arty, that's more of a "feel" than any kind of follow this marker kind of thing.

yeah the arty thing is basically the exact thing I said.

As for too much on the screen. IDK. To me there is less on the screen since the Default UI is robust and covers 90% of it with your health bar, load bar, and toher shit like that. To each is own I guess, not to mention the fact that the My scren shots are showing only one of the 20+ variations you can create.

I see now that this is less of a "shadow shows what the mod looks like" and is more of a "bitch at shadow why the mod is pointless" topic. So locked thread.

If you dont want to use it thats fine. As 99.99% of mods are, they are not game changers, or cheats, or a way to gain an advantage. They are just modifications to something you already have. In this case that being a more detailed, robust Gun site when your looking thru the scope; and in this case the sites are based on the real scopes. And as with all mods its a user choice rather then a need to have item.

And just an FYI. The armor 'hud' apsect is built into the game. Defualt Scope has an option to show Pen chance when your aiming the gun by chaning the color of your aim. The armor points they show are defualted into the game and you an find them on ANY tank if you just click on it in the tree and right click it, so if your "hardcore' you are already doing that and know the weak points of the big tanks your going against any way. ANY WAY Its not rocket science to know that the weak points are the sides and rear of any tank. And honestly the armor thign only really helped on the Arty since thats about the only time I had any time to look at the armor points while I was waiting for the gun to zero in. In a TD or normal tank, you generally Know what you want to hit and where. And if you don't really know the defualt armor pen gives you a damn good idea and lets you judge on the fly. its an intresting mod, but honestly its just glitter rather then substance, on par with the little animated shell loading thing that happens.

So thats that, Im fucking done, The last time I fucking do anything like this.

What the fuck are you talking about? I thought this was a discussion. No one was bitching at you for anything, and the mods are not pointless, it's a matter of preference that's all. You didn't even start the thread...
